Events and Concerts - Summer Meetings Photo Gallery
The "2026 ALEA III Summer Meetings” and the “Forum: Young Composers - Young Performers" give the opportunity to college age composers and performers to spend ten days on the splendid island of Naxos, play music, exchange ideas, create new works and enjoy the beaches and the 5,000 year history of an island in the heart of the Aegean Sea.
The programs are presented in collaboration of ALEA III with YriaRT Productions, the Region of Southern Aegean, the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades, the Tragea Cultural Council and the National Kapodistrian Univeristy of Athens.
The core ensemble (Cappella Atenea, Leontios Tsokas, conductor) is a classical-size orchestra including piano:
2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, strings (4, 4, 2, 2, 1) and two pianists
The Meetings and the Forum operate as a Workshop for composers and performers to freely experiment with their ideas. The approach allows space for the creative mind to operate without the usual boundaries of a festival. Activities and content of events and concerts are largely determined by the participants.
Bring your works, your instrument, your film, your art, your ideas for a project to work together with peers.
The meetings are free and open to all who wish to be active participants or spectators.
