Harrison Honor is a Boston based percussionist comfortable in a wide variety of musical situations. Honor has appeared as a soloist in the Boston Symphony's Prelude Series, performed with The Callithumpian Consort, The New Haven Symphony, Alea III Contemporary Music Ensemble, New England Conservatory’s Contemporary Ensemble, and several other Boston area orchestras. An advocate for new music, he has commissioned and premiered a handful of pieces for solo percussion by young Boston composers. He will receive his Bachelor's degree from New England Conservatory in May, where he studied with Daniel Bauch, and will begin graduate studies at the Juilliard School next fall. Honor teaches percussion students of all ages at New England Conservatory Preparatory School, where he also serves as the Percussion Department Coordinator.
